Compact Power® - Company Overview

Our Company
Compact Power® is headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, just outside of Charlotte NC; and is a rapidly growing manufacturer and marketer of specialized equipment and a provider of outsourced equipment maintenance services.

Compact Power's® proprietary branded products specializing in the light to medium duty construction equipment are the Powerhouse and Boxer lines. These lines are primarily composed of compact utility loaders, with a wide range of hydraulic-powered attachments, used as labor saving devices in the landscape, irrigation, light construction and utility markets.

Compact Power® is comprised of three major components: Manufacturing, Distribution, and Service.

Manufacturing
Mertz Manufacturing LLC, a wholly owned Compact Power® subsidiary with 165,000 square feet at its Oklahoma plant, has been producing dependable construction equipment for seven decades. Mertz also manufactures high value, high quality machined products used in the oilfield services industry.

Mertz products include:

  • Compact utility loaders and mini excavators
  • Oil and gas industry equipment
  • Servo-hydraulic petroleum exploration vehicles
  • Fire fighting apparatus
  • Agricultural vehicles
  • Precision parts for large mining and construction equipment
A long-time supplier to Halliburton, Schlumberger, Terex, Sercel and Stewart & Stevenson and others, Mertz can quickly adapt to changing customer needs. The subsidiary also serves as Compact Power's® centrally located distribution center.

Distribution
At Compact Power®, we distribute our Boxer® and Compact Power® (formally PowerHouse®) compact utility loaders, attachments and ProHauler trailers through a network of more than 160 domestic and international dealers, rental companies and national accounts.

Service
To guarantee our customers fast maintenance and parts delivery, we maintain a national service network with a localized focus. Service network members are skilled at emergency response, installations, retrofits and preventive maintenance.

Our commitment to superior service advanced with our recent acquisition of DOC Machine Tool Service in Rock Hill - now called Compact Power® Services.

With more than 250 service technicians coast to coast, CPS quickly responds to service calls from diverse industrial customers. Retail and manufacturing clients have included The Home Depot, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, General Electric, Siemens, Dresser Rand, Vidir, Albertsons, Load King, Levolor, Dicks Sporting Goods, Red Devil Equipment, Sherwin Williams.
