Compact Power is headed by a seasoned management team with key individuals that add strength and expertise to each division of Compact Power.
Directing our company is a veteran management team made up of key individuals who bring know-how and professionalism to each Compact Power division.
Roger Braswell
President and CEO Roger Braswell introduced the first compact utility loaders to the U.S. market 1995. Roger built Southern Tree and Landscape into the Carolinas leading landscape contractor before helping establish LandCare USA. Later, he served as a member of the company's senior management team and board; he remained a top manager after LandCare's 1999 merger with ServiceMaster.
Chief Operating Officer Mick Edwards, a colleague of Roger's since 2000, is familiar with both the operational and financial sides of the business. He helped launch Compact Power's international business. He holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and earned a graduate degree in international business from the University of South Carolina.
Norman Boling
Chief Financial Officer Norman Boling served in a similar capacity for the predecessor companies and has worked with Roger Braswell since 1988. Norman holds accounting and business degrees from the University of South Carolina.
Steve Ballinger
Mertz President Steve Ballinger, with more than 15 years in manufacturing and sales management, engineered the introduction of lean manufacturing at Mertz.
John Soderstrom
CFO of MertzJohn Soderstrom joined the Compact Power sister company after 32 years with Conoco.
Eric Swanson
Eric Swanson formerly headed DOC Machine Tool Services. Before that he spent 11 years with Citi Corp.
