A high school diploma or GED required.

Computer literate

Standard safe practices, as described by OSHA regulations

Trade school or Technical trade training a definite plus

Required Experience:

Requirements To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate will have several years of experience servicing a variety of equipment in multiple locations. You must be flexible and willing to work in both inside and outside environments. You must be a self-starter and have a 'fix it the first time mentality'.

Listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements: 

• Versatile maintenance repair skill set
• Hydraulics - cylinder, pump, motor, valves.
• Welding experience - stick & wire.
• Some small diesel/gas engine repair experience
• Lifing requirement - 80 lbs.
• Have additional experience working in the machine repair field working on light industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of the electrical systems found on construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical assemblies, electric motors and simple control wiring.

CPS Technicians use their skill sets to repair a wide variety of equipment found retail locations and industry. As a field service technician for CPS, you will be expected to be flexible - working on all types of equipment, such as light construction equipment, light industrial equipment found in retail locations (paint shakers, carpet carousels, checkout stands, shopping carts), facility maintenance or heavy industrial machine maintenance depending on your expertise and the customer base found in your area.

We have an opening for a PART TIME Field Maintenance Technician. There is no guarantee number of hours for this position; dependent on customer maintenance needs. In this position, you will provide service in various locations in a 1-1/2 -hour radius of your home.
