• Landscape/rental/construction background a definite plus.

• Valid driver’s license (ability to drive in a CMV capacity)

Job Description:

 

The Area Rental Mechanic (ARM) is responsible for a group of stores within a designated radius of your home.  Yo will travel from store-to-store to repair equipment and manage the rental operation.  We are looking for a "Master Mechanic" with customer relations skills.  You will use your mechanic skills to keep the equipment "rental ready".  customer relations is paramount!  You will work closely with Corporate and store personnel to have the right equipment in the right stores to maximize use and revenue.  During the course of the day, this position will:

• Travel from store-to-store to monitor equipment rentals.
• Work on-site in a retail equipment rental operation assisting contractors and DIYers (do it yourselfers) with their equipment needs.
• Review rental contracts and paperwork for customers, insuring that it is submitted to the Corporate office in a timely manner.
• Provide associates / customers with basic training on equipment operation and safety
• Perform visual inspections of equipment as it is going out on rental and upon return
• Insure equipment is always operational, damage-free, clean, and full of fuel
• Organizing transporation of the equipment as needed (delivery/pickup)
• Forward sales leads to appropriate Corporate-office personnel
• Train other personnel on equipment.
