Roger Braswell

Roger Braswell

Chief Executive Officer

Roger Braswell has served as CEO of Compact Power since founding the Company. He is nationally known in the fields of landscape contracting and related equipment manufacturing and distribution. He entered the landscape business over 30 years ago, building Southern Tree and Landscape, the leading landscape contractor in the Carolinas, which became a founding company partner of LandCare USA (NYSE: GRW). He went on to become a board member and senior management member of the NYSE Company as well as one of the top managers of the division after LandCare merged with ServiceMaster in 1999. Roger participated in the acquisition and integration of over two dozen companies during his tenure with LandCare and Service Master. He founded PowerHouse Equipment in 2000, which was initially a multi-state Toro dealer, and expanded it into distributing its own equipment lines in 2001 and 2002 prior to its merger into Compact Power in December 2003.

Richard Porter

Chief Operating Officer

Richard Porter has served as Chief Operating Officer of Compact Power since 2012, where he oversees the Company’s rental, service, VIP and marketing efforts. He has a wealth of experience related to growth-stage companies and operational and financial optimization. Richard began his career with Arthur Andersen & Company before expanding Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the Northeast and then across Canada. After establishing Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Canada, Richard helped to grow it into the largest and most profitable rental car company in Canada during his 14-year career there. After moving into Private Equity, Richard helped to fund and launch a technology company based in Toronto, Canada and to grow its operations throughout North America, Europe and Asia. With over 25 years of related business experience, Richard has developed a unique skill set for helping companies to successfully optimize growth and profitability by establishing a strong company culture through a disciplined commitment to Core Values and operational and financial best practices. Richard graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercyhurst University.

Norman Boling

Norman Boling

Chief Financial Officer

Norman Boling serves as Chief Financial Officer of Compact Power Equipment Rental and has served in a similar capacity for the predecessor companies. Norman has extensive management and financial experience with private and public companies. He has worked with Roger since 1988 and has considerable financial management experience. Norman holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in business and accounting from the University of South Carolina and is an Administration Adjunct Professor in the University of South Carolina system. Norman has been instrumental to the launch and roll-out of Compact Power and its predecessor companies.

Tim Dugan

Tim Dugan

Senior Vice President
of CPER

Tim Dugan joined Compact Power in 2015 and is responsible for the overall operating activities of the rental organization. Tim brings over 26 years of sales, operations and marketing experience working for Pepsi, Nestlé Waters, a technology start-up and a 124-year-old family-owned business. Tim was with Pepsi for 11 years where he led in all functions of sales, from Director of Sales Operations to key account development. During Tim’s 6-year tenure with Nestlé Waters, he led the business integration and best practices throughout Asia-Pacific. As the sales executive for a family-owned business, Tim led the sales, marketing and customer service transformation to position the company for sale to private equity. Tim holds an MBA degree from Xavier University and a BSBA degree from John Carroll University.

Russell Lindsay

Senior Vice President
of CPES

Russell Lindsay joined the Company in 2014 as a Canadian Rental Manager. Russell’s work was based out of Toronto, Canada until the following year when he moved to the Charlotte area after being promoted to the Eastern Divisional Vice President of CPES. Russell served in this role until promotion to his current position in late 2015. Prior to joining Compact Power, Russell spent nine years with one of North America’s leading transit HVAC service specialists, Thermo King of Eastern Canada / Ingersoll-Rand. As a Regional Service Manager for the company, his responsibilities included growth and profitability optimization, managing key accounts for major flat rate customers, growing equipment sales and coordinating the company’s marketing and product training efforts. Russell graduated from Centennial College of Trades.

Shavonne Clark

Senior Director
of Marketing

Shavonne Clark serves as the Senior Director of Marketing Communications, where she leads the planning, development and implementation of all organizational marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities, both internally and externally. Prior to joining Compact Power, Shavonne served as the Director of Brand Strategy for Food Lion, one of the largest grocery retail chains in the Southeast. There, she directed Food Lion’s comprehensive internal and external marketing strategy, sponsorships and promotions and brand initiatives aimed at achieving brand equity and integrity. Shavonne holds a B.S. in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising from Hampton University, a Masters of Professional Studies in Design Management from Pratt Institute and a Mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from Rutgers University.

Jonathan Schlemmer

Jonathan Schlemmer

Director of IT

Jonathan serves as Director of Information Technology where he oversees a staff of 12 IT professionals and directs the strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of enterprise-wide technology initiatives. This includes all data centers, business intelligence, project management, help desk, computer systems operations (including voice), development and software implementation. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology. Prior to joining Compact Power in 2013, he worked in a consulting role for ITI Communications as a Senior Systems Engineer where he served one of the largest hospital systems in the U.S. Jonathan studied Management Information Systems at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has received multiple certifications from Microsoft, Citrix, VMware and Cisco.

Veressa Hendrix

Veressa Hendrix

Senior Director
of Human Resources

Veressa serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources where she drives the strategic business alignment and implementation of Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations and Compliance. She is a certified Human Resources leader with over 25 years of domestic and international experience. Prior to joining Compact Power, Veressa held various Human Resources roles within British Petroleum, one of the world’s leading integrated oil and gas companies. There, she served as the U.S. Employee Relations Policy Manager, Strategic HR Business Partner, HR Services Manager and in a host of other HR roles. Veressa holds a B.A. degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
